Although I choose to paint, I am first an artist. I seek to solve creative problems, explore new territories and continue to learn and grow. I choose to work in a variety of styles from impressionistic to abstract. Whatever techniques and styles I work in, I choose to paint with passion and energy. The process of painting is as important to me as the end result. I choose to leave spontaneous marks as a recording of time in the painting. I believe art has a profound effect on the well-being of the artist, viewer, and society in general. Therefore, I set forth to produce paintings with peaks of energy, valleys of tension, and an overall flow of harmony – the result a physical record of the rhythm in tune with what it means to be human.
