Henry Leck

As founder of the Indianapolis Children’s Choir, Henry has consistently remained faithful to his belief that music should be performed with authenticity. So much so that, through the Creative Renewal Fellowship, Henry traveled to South Africa to observe how music is preformed there. His authentic South African choral music will be shared with other choirs in the United States, complete with specific performance practice details. During his fellowship, Henry met several times with the President of the South African Choral Academy, composers, arrangers, and leading traditional music collectors. Not only has Henry created his own authentic South African choral music, but he alse plans to bring materials from these meetings to the United States for publication.
