“I have always been intrigued by the idea that art knows no boundaries- art is universal. I am also fascinated by the notion that when a person creates a work of art it becomes the only one like it in the world. Art is not about right and wrong and is not governed by one correct answer. Even “mistakes” can have positive results and become an integral part of the finished product. My personal work has evolved significantly since my years attending art school. I have always believed that the
Monninger likes to focus on color, imagery, texture, shape and form. He uses a bold color palette, whimsical perspective and finely detailed texture to enhance his unique approach to painting.
