“I depict life around me on canvas in order to bring it to rooms where people are estranged from the natural world.”
The world around her finds its reflection in the sketchbooks of Trump, in which she draws with pen and ink. At the studio, Trump mixes these images with fantasy, memory and studio drawings to make a story-like painting. Sometimes the painting becomes abstract, sometimes figurative.
