My name is James Dies and I am an Indianapolis based Illustrator focusing on portraiture with a highly detailed, surrealistic spin. I work across a variety of mediums, including paint, ink, and digital.
Artist Style: Visual: Dream Imagery/Ethereal, Illustrative, Portraiture, Surrealistic
Artist Medium: Visual Arts: Computer, Drawing Media, Mixed Media
My illustrations seek to explore a growing balance between nature and technology. While some may envision a future involving the convergence of humanity and technology to be dark and dystopian, I attempt to convey beauty and harmony. In my work, I draw from patterns found in nature and apply them to the artificial, fusing these concepts into colorful portraiture.
