“I have developed a writing practice that has culminated in a piece titled “word picture.” Each picture is an hour long film of a writing session projected via LCD onto a plain surface. Text is generated on the surface as though one were observing a writer from over his shoulder, complete with mistakes, corrections, cut, pastes, and pauses. Some sessions include an electronic clock enhancing the sense of passage of time. The piece places the viewer into the artist’s studio in ‘real time.’”
