I started beading about a year ago out of my own need for pieces to wear that look great and that I could afford. I am not the cookie cutter type so I don’t like seeing a lot of other women wearing the same thing I have. That’s why you will never see two women wearing the same piece from my collection; I only make one of each piece.
One way that I ensure uniqueness and affordability is that I use a lot of pieces that I rescue from flea markets, yard sales and thrift shops. I have taken one beginner’s beading class so far and I’m doing a lot of online research. My inspiration comes from what I like and what I think would be fun to see on someone else.
Pricing vary according to materials and creation time.
I have a B.A. in Religious Studies and a Master of Divinity, but no formal art training.
