About My Work:

Justin’s most well-known work is a series of portraits of celebrities, activists, artists, and history makers comprised of their surveillance files from various government intelligence agencies.  Examples would be Fred Trump’s FBI file, James Baldwin’s FBI file, to the rabble rouser index of unaffiliated citizens compiled by the FBI. His use of government files extends to historical organizations such as the special congressional committee investigation into the Black Panther Chapters of Nebraska, Indianapolis, Iowa, Chicago, and Cleveland; as well as the special investigation on the MOVE Philadelphia bombing.
