Katherine Kemp grew up in a small town in Michigan called Plainwell. During her school days she was gravitated to the art world which she excelled in. Upon high school graduation she ventured to Grand Rapids, MI to further explore the Arts at Kendall School of Design. Although she put aside her passion for art to raise two daughters as a stay at home mother, her creative side was still an integral part of her life. I have a passion for texture and color in the artwork I create, I enjoy the depth it creates. I work on around 8 pieces at a time as each piece of work is based on layers like chapters in a book.
