About My Work:

Murray’s ceramic sculpture and paintings are extensions of her collage works on paper. She assembles biomorphic forms to create larger installations. “In my art practice, I enjoy the play of shifting from paint to paper to clay,” explains Murray. “Working with similar color, pattern and form in all three media—discovering endless combinations of material and meaning.”

The impetus for Murray’s current  body of work was born out of her recovery from a concussion and subsequent post concussion syndrome (PCS). That event lead Murray to discover a new voice in her work.
