Born to a farming family whose roots can be found in their 1835 homstead farm located at the northeast side of Indianapolis, my earliest memories are of the beautiful people and images associated with the family farms. I have always sketched and painted the beauty that God placed around me. It is where I find my calling and my peace. The art of portraiture is the greatest way to honor a loved one, and the capturing of that moment, that spark in the eye, is my greatest desire.

About My Work:

Oil paints are used to allow for the additional blending and shading used to develop the flesh tones. Each portrait is painted on Masonite to provide for a durrable and smooth surface. This smooth surface allows me to produce these fine lined portraits in the strictness of the realist style.
