I love vinyl records and have always been on the look out for vinyl record art. Vinyl touches so many people. My work is about those albums, songs, and artists that bring back those memories and great tunes.
I am a firm believer in recycled goods and this is a way to get those albums back out there in a different kind of way. From the sound of the record to the dust it collects, vinyl is an interactive experience. My work is a collection of artists that my family grew up listening to.
It takes some time to do these and the glue that is used has to accompany a mask, otherwise you will be quite loopy near the end. Records are bashed, cut, grinded and shaped to form the essential pieces for the art. The work takes around 3-4 weeks to make. The work is fun, unique, and I get the greatest joy out of showing the work to those who have not seen it. Hope you Enjoy!
