Artist StatementMy aim as an artist is to explore. At times, I allow chance (automatism) to play a major roll in my creation.I am inspired by dreams and fleeting ideas, strange characters and ambiguous emotions.Transformation and the idea of transience are common themes in my work.I grasp onto those things which have no concrete title, and images that fall through the cracks of direct understanding. At times there will be beauty and abstraction, humor, and darkness.Faces accompany emotions, figures
My work is mainly 2D but I also work sculpturally. My subject matter tends to be dark and leaning toward fantasy. I love to create bizarre work using many styles.
My prices range from low to high. Examples: 11×17 prints are sold online for $20 Original artwork can be bought or commissioned. Prices vary depending on medium, size and complexity. Small works (8″x10″ on paper for example) may range between $40 and $80, all the way up to larger canvas works – a piece roughly 36″x48″ could range between $700 and $1200.
