An iconic image many remember me as was an artsy, ballsy, tomboy teen who wore tennis shoes with skirts and made life size jungles out of paint, markers and poster boards. I’m a Hoosier, globetrotter, dreamer, veteran, gluten-free not by choice and own worse critic. For the past ten years I traveled the globe in the Armed Forces while I continued my art education. Outside photography I am a dedicated illustrator and oil painter.
To put it simply, I am not your average photographer. My specialty is abstract, candid, documentary photography. I go beyond basic photojournalism by incorporating non-traditional techniques such as low angles, high angles, blur, close ups and hide-n-seek subjects. Exaggerating the edge is my favorite style.
My work is a combination of abstract angles, natural light and depth of field. It is not quite social documentary but in candid form. Combining personal experience, emotion and creativity into a work of art is my gift. For the past ten years I traveled the globe in the Armed Forces while I continued my art education.
“My photos are stories with a secret. I am all about paying attention to what happens behind the scenes. What I do best is communicating visually and capturing life’s rarest moments. May my work zone you into the spot behind the lens like you are the artist trying to capture something beautiful, amazing, goofy, simple, indescribable or just a little something to brighten up your day.”
