Pete Howard is an award-winning photographer based in Indianapolis. Pete Howard is an award-winning photographer based in Indianapolis. He started his photographic career more than forty years ago, influenced by his grandfather who was himself an avid photographer, the family chronicler, and a meticulous man whose attention to detail in composition and exposure usually exceeded the patience of his subjects. Pete’s photographic career progressed in fits and starts through high school, college, and the raising of his two daughters with his wife Emily. He became a serious photographer in the early 90’s and has since focused his efforts on landscapes, natural and manmade patterns, and people being themselves. Pete finds photography the ideal blend of his need for an artistic outlet, his enjoyment of being outdoors, and his satisfaction with mastering the tools and techniques.
