Technique is the Consequence of Concept.
While making my art, I may not know exactly where I am heading, but I do know how to get there. By allowing my technique to be the consequence of the painting’s concept and following a working path of expected surprises coupled with fearless exploration, I’m collaborating with the nuances and idiosyncrasies of both the materials and the surface. We three engage in real and complicated conversations. By revealing moments from these conversations, we create unique visual experiences. Similar to peeking, I adjust as I go.
I make art that is as small as 6″x6″ and as large as 15′ x 8′ with murals even as large as 70′ long. Prices range from $100.00 – $15,000.00.
