I’ve always held nature in the highest regards and have worked my lifetime attempting to emulate the beauty and wonder that I find throughout the natural world. I found my true love of marine life during studies of marine biology in the Florida Keys while attending school through Goshen College. I went on to gain my PADI open water certification in 1997 and now dive recreationally as often as possible. My subject matter stems from the images that I capture first hand either on land or under water. When appropriate, I take these images and work them into the basis for illustrations, murals or canvas and board paintings working in several media such as colored pencil, pastel, watercolor as well as oils and acrylics, creating representational pieces of wildlife, landscapes, seascapes, etc.
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Biology (emphasis in marine biology) from Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana. My marine biology studies were completed at Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana.
I have been a member of the Hoosier Salon and the Fishers Arts Council.
Eagle Creek Fine Art Committee member (Spring exhibit coordinator)
Hamilton County Artists Association
I was awarded an honorable mention at Eagle Creek’s 2006 “Renditions of Nature Exhibition” for my work titled Blue Placidity.
