About My Work:

My studio practice investigates human interaction and humanity’s resilience to rise above social constructs. Through the use of diverse materials these investigations reveal the inner strength, found in underserved communities, to thrive in the midst of chaos.

Through a rigorous process of applying layers of paint, markings, and ephemera ranging from discarded books, magazines, plastics, posters, and street advertising, my work evokes the effects of systematic neglect thrust upon our supposedly insignificant urban communities.

In painting, I pursue abstract methods to create emotional engagement in order to provoke socially and culturally rich dialogue.

  1. I have a painting of a PR artist with the name of Vazquez, over 60 yrs old, and would like to know if Samuek’s father could have painted it. A country scene in Puerto Rico. And would appreciate if you could ask him to contact me on that. Thank you.
