I am a self-taught artist/illustrator from western North Carolina. I grew up in a trailer park there and mostly spent my time drawing and searching the woods behind our trailer for the Wild Things… I learned later what the meaning of the word ‘fiction’ was. My work is mainly inspired by: Maxfield Parrish, Thomas Wilmer Dewing, Abbot Handerson Thayer, Maurice Sendak, Arthur Rackham and all the French poster artists of the early 1900’s.
