Starr never dreamed that her love for nature and color would develop into art. When diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2002 she was faced with new and abrupt challenges. Creativity allows her to conquer daily obstacles and express the voice that was once hidden deep within.
A self-taught artist, she works with mosaics, acrylic, watercolor, encaustics, chalk, photography, altered art, resin, fiber, papers, mica, block printing, and various combinations of mediums in various styles. Her
Inspiration comes from all walks of life and from personal insights. Every piece is made with the passion of a very personal journey. Each is a gift of opportunity as it drives Starr to share a depth of herself to find peace, promise, and hope and to convey that message to everyone she encounters and who can appreciate her message.
