I have been an artist all of my life. As an active painter, since 2007, in the Indianapolis area, I love pulling inspiration from landscapes and cityscapes. Texture is my passion. I work primarily with a pallet knife using acrylic or oil paints on canvas. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Ball State University, which is where I fell in love with painting all over again. Studying other artists and growing in my profession, are important to me.
The landscapes around me, near and far inspire
Full of texture and dimension, describe my work. Building up the layers of paint with a pallet knife, really bring my paintings to life. Color and movement throughout each piece, along with a swatch-like pattern, pull my audience in. And giving the impression of a beautiful landscape/cityscape real or imaginary, near or far, can give my audience a feeling of peace and comfort.
