“Interacting with something we see or feel develops an emotional relationship between that person and the object. I create what I create for the viewer to establish their own personal relationship with the piece. What I see in my own pieces should be different from what another viewer might notice. I push the overall aesthetic given to me by using the medium to the fullest.” Steven Wells
Artist Style: Non-Objective
Steven juggles between two mediums; furniture and painting. The furniture consists of a variety of species of wood. He uses the natural pigments of the wood to purify the overall beauty of the piece. By using traditional woodworking techniques the work stands out with high craftsmanship. Wells’ paintings display depth and dynamism.
