Artist Medium: Visual Arts: Drawing Media; mixed media
I create two-dimensional and three-dimensional mixed media artwork inspired by landscape, history or memory of a site, and personal experience. In my work, I integrate salvaged and new materials and am drawn to forms and objects that imitate nature or tell a story about perceptions of value.
Understanding structures and finding a quirky sense of balance in the work plays a role due to my personal history of scoliosis.
I want viewers to take notice of what they might tend to overlook. And, as a result, contemplate everyday systems of assessment and beauty.
2-D mixed media work ranges from $100 to $1,000
3-D projects vary according to scope of project and materials used
