About My Work:

Teresa considers herself an artist of Life — looking to nature for inspiration for still life paintings, pet portraits, wildlife, florals, and plein air. She works in water soluble oils, traditional oils and occasionally acrylics.  In addition to nature, she is often inspired by people and everyday items that can look interesting, if not beautiful, when rendered in paint. Her style is influenced by the Impressionists plus many others.  Although many paintings would be considered a realistic style, they always incorporate intentional brushstrokes, sensitive application of color, representation of light and there is never an intention to create a hyper realistic painting.
