“What I capture in my art is the intertwining duality of the harsh and the delicate, which is my perception of the world of opposites and also myself. “I first got into abstraction through following, dream-like oil paintings. They have been said to resemble earthly elements such as fire, flowing clouds, and reflections on water. My recent works though have been the result of a newfound love for texture and unusual materials.” -Veronica Smith
