Indy Urban Youth Choir is looking for new faces! If you are an aspiring singer, dancer, musician, producer, or engineer aged 8 – 19….they want you!
Come out to their call-out meeting on July 27th from 10 – 12 p.m. to meet the team and even sign up for an audition!
Indy Urban Youth inspires young artists through a quality music education program.

Auditions - The Nutcracker

Young dancers looking to be a part of Indiana’s grandest staging of The Nutcracker alongside members of the Indianapolis Ballet professional company are invited to attend this year’s open audition:
Sunday, August 11
Indianapolis Ballet studios
502 N. Capitol Avenue, Suite B (2nd floor).
Sunday’s auditions are open to dancers ages nine and up.
Rehearsals will be held on Saturdays, beginning August 31.
Production week will run from Nov. 25 – Dec. 1, including evening rehearsals on Nov. 25 and 26 and five performances between Nov. 27 – Dec. 1 (excluding Thanksgiving).
This year’s performances will mark the 13th annual production of The Nutcracker for Indianapolis Ballet, Inc. The Nutcracker will return to The Murat Theatre at Old National Centre for the fourth consecutive year and will again feature live musical accompaniment, bringing Tchaikovsky’s score to life.

Through July 31, Westfield Playhouse is accepting applications for our student scholarship.
Each year, in accordance with their mission to create interest and participation in community theatre, Main Street Productions, Inc. provides a scholarship to a deserving applicant interested in the performing arts. Funds for the scholarship are derived from concession sales during performances, donations, and fundraising. The scholarship will be given to an individual one time only and must be used within two years of receipt. The scholarship will be directly distributed to the teacher, forum, etc. providing the performing arts experience to the applicant, not to the applicant themselves. Upon receipt of the scholarship, the applicant shall contact the scholarship committee notifying them to whom the funds should be directed. Applications will be accepted May 1st through July 31st of 2019. The committee will determine the recipient no later than August 31st 2019.
