Artistic Director Needed

Carmel Community Players (CCP) is looking for an Artistic Director (AD). Responsibilities include developing and implementing the artistic vision and focus of CCP. The AD works with the Board of Directors to select the annual season of theatrical productions while ensuring that CCP is guided by its mission and realizes its goals for artistic excellence, community service, education, financial stability, fundraising and audience engagement.

The AD is a volunteer position and non-voting member of the Board of Directors. The AD reports directly to the Board of Directors, and works in close association with the production directors, Executive Producer, and the Technical Director. The successful AD will be available to attend most Board Meetings, auditions and performances of CCP shows, as well as have a network of individuals and organizations in our community from which to draw from as technical and creative resources. This is a volunteer position with variable hours, including nights and weekends.

CCP was founded in 1993 and from the outset, our goal was to enable visitors to not only view live theater, but also generate interest about theater and art by bringing culture into one’s valuable leisure time. We have forged many partnerships over the years and obtained many patrons who support this initiative. The individual who becomes our Artistic Director will be a big part of continuing our traditions and our future.

If you are interested in this exciting volunteer opportunity, please send your theatre resume and introductory note NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 15, 2019 to the CCP Board of Directors via email to current Vice President Lori Raffel at: linesbylori1@aol.com
