Sugar Creek Art Center is looking for professional visual artists to rent various affordable studio spaces. Studio sizes and amenities vary. Many have exterior windows, locks, water access, heat, A/C, etc. The building can be accessed 24 / 7 with key card. An elevator is available for movement between three floors.
Sugar Creek Art Center (SCAC) is a rural arts non-profit in Thorntown, Indiana located half way between Indianapolis and Lafayette off of I 65 North and SR 47 West / SR 52 West. We are housed in a 1800s garment factory at 127 So. Pearl Street just one block south of the main business district.
Besides working studios, our facility houses an event / banquet area, a commercial kitchen with in-house caterer (Nameless Catering), a gift store and four gorgeous exhibition galleries. SCAC is open from 11 am – 5 pm, Thursday- Saturday and from 5-8 pm every first Thursday for monthly exhibition opening receptions.Please email or call to make an appointment if you would like to consider renting a space.
