ArtMix is looking for an innovative, creative, and strategic thinker to oversee their programming department. The VP of Programs is a key management role at ArtMix, an organization that provides art classes, internships, and programming for individuals with disabilities. The VP of Programs responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Planning and establishing art classes and programming
  • Developing key partnerships with schools, day programs, community centers, and other programs working with individuals with disabilities
  • Developing a strategic plan to continue to provide art curriculum through new and innovative ways including distanced learning
  • Developing the programming schedule and scheduling teaching artists and studio techs
  • Recruiting new students, partners, and teaching artists
  • Evaluating programs to ensure they reach state and federal standards
  • Collecting and managing programmatic data for grant funders and applications
  • Drafting program budgets and track spending across all programs
  • Supervising the Urban Artisans Program Manager
  • Supervising, training, and evaluating teaching artists and studio techs
  • Planning and leading continuing education and professional development for teaching artists
  • Representing ArtMix and present program content at local, state, and national conferences
  • Expanding our fee for service programming and partnerships

Bachelors Degree required

Degree preferences but not limited to: BFA, Art Therapy, Art Education, Special Education, Arts Management

Preferred Skills:

Arts Education, Management, Experience working with individuals with disabilities, Data collection and reporting
