The Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship Program is a bi-annual initiative designed to re-energize and revitalize the individuals who form the central Indiana arts community. The fellowship funds can be used for research, instruction, conferences, apprenticeships, travel, or other experiences that help the recipient explore his or her artistry and creative journey. In 2017, the Arts Council of Indianapolis will award thirty $10,000 fellowships to central Indiana artists and arts administrators. Fellowships are designed for professional artists and arts administrators who have been working in their field for at least ten years; have lived and/or worked in the following 8 counties for a minimum of 3 consecutive years: Marion, Morgan, Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Hancock, Johnson, or Shelby County; and whose primary source of income is derived from the arts.
