Arts Council of Indianapolis Seeks Arts Service Providers to Build Resource Vendor List

About the Arts Council of Indianapolis

The Arts Council of Indianapolis is a nonprofit service organization dedicated to fostering meaningful and equitable engagement in the arts by nurturing a culture where artists and arts organizations thrive. The Arts Council allocates public funding to arts and cultural organizations through the City of Indianapolis Annual Grants Program; offers fellowship opportunities including the Creative Renewal Arts Fellowship, the Robert D. Beckmann, Jr. Emerging Artist Fellowship, and the DeHaan Artist of Distinction Award; provides programs, services, and technical assistance for artists and arts organizations; manages the city’s public art program including the Public Art for Neighborhoods initiative; supports arts education and arts integration in partnership with Indianapolis Public Schools; and owns/operates the Indianapolis Artsgarden, Gallery 924, and IndyArtsGuide.org.

Artist Resources Directory

As a service to artists and those seeking to work with artists in the broader community, the Arts Council hosts a resources directory at indyarts.org. The directory includes professional development resources for artists, a vendor list of photographers, videographers, web developers and the like for both artists and the community to access, and additional information for members of the public who seek to work with the creative community.

Our purpose in posting this current request for information is to create a vendor list in our resources directory that shares art consultants, curators, and other arts service providers in central Indiana, as the corporate community often reaches out to the Arts Council to find various services.  We hope to build a robust resource to assist them in their search.

Scope of Work

In order to offer a broad variety of resources to our community, we are seeking information from individuals and businesses that specialize in any of the following:

Public art project management
Artwork framing
Artwork crating and shipping
Artwork installation
Procurement and/or divestment of individual works of art
Advising services for individual and institutional collectors
Consulting
Conservation & restoration of artwork (individual artworks or collections)
Curatorial services
Appraisal services

Project Timeline:

This is an ongoing project. There is no deadline to submit your information. The resource guide will appear on https://indyarts.org/artists/artist-resources in spring 2021 and can be updated at any time.
