The Arts Council of Indianapolis is looking for energetic, and outgoing individuals to join our Welcome Race Fans Project Street Team.
This is a part-time, temporary, paid position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Street team members will be responsible for engaging with businesses, organizations, and the public on a personal basis in order to promote the Welcome Race Fans project, a collaboration between the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Arts Council of Indianapolis to incorporate Indiana artists and original artwork into the 103rd running of the Indy 500. Five Indiana artists were commissioned to do their own take on the iconic “Welcome Race Fans” signs that blanket the city during the month of May. Street team members will handle the coordination and distribution of posters and other print material around Indianapolis leading up to the Indianapolis 500.

Schedule and Compensation:
Flexible schedule, but requires availability during Arts Council of Indianapolis business hours (M – F, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m). 10 hours per week. $10 - $13 per hour for 40-45 hours to be worked over the course of four weeks from April 29 – May 24, 2019.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 + pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
