Artwork Wanted for Vaccination Confidence PSA Campaign

The Arts Council of Indianapolis, in partnership with the city of Indianapolis, seeks the existing work of visual artists to be used in conjunction with public service messaging encouraging residents to be vaccinated. Images will be merged with text and messaging and shared in multiple public locations in neighborhoods including, but not limited to billboards, buses, posters, stickers, buttons, and more.

Applications Due: Monday, June 28, 2021 11:59 p.m.

Who: Marion County Visual Artists

Compensation:  $500

Project Description

The Arts Council and City of Indianapolis are partnering on a city/county-wide Vaccine Confidence campaign that will share the benefits of getting vaccinated. When more residents get vaccinated, we all benefit. For individuals, getting vaccinated enables them to fully enjoy more of the things they have missed over the past year, things like seeing family and friends, arts events, live music, and travel. Having more of our community get fully vaccinated also contributes to the social, cultural, and economic recovery of the city at large as we get closer and closer to being able to fully open all businesses, offices, and especially arts and culture events.

There is no conceptual theme for this project. The artwork submitted does not need to relate to the pandemic or vaccination in any way. Although there is no specific theme, we hope to receive images that are vibrant, positive, dynamic, and energetic. They may be figurative or non-objective. All styles and media are welcome.  Note: If selected, your artwork will be featured in a PSA campaign to promote vaccination confidence and may have logos or text overlayed on top of the artwork. The artwork will work with the message.
