The Act Out Ensemble, a locally and nationally-acclaimed professional traveling social-issue theatre troupe is holding open auditions for local actors age 18-50 to become part of our repertory troupe of performers. Act Out is an equal-opportunity employer and looking for a diverse group of actors of all ages, race, creed or color.

Auditions will be held on Friday, August 2nd from 5 to 7 pm and Saturday, August 3rd from 10 am to 12 pm at Herron High School, 110 E. 16th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46202 – 2nd floor theatre located within Russell Hall.

The ACT Out Ensemble uses the art of theatre to engage, educate and entertain audiences of all ages on persistent social issues. Through the power of live theatre, the ACT Out Ensemble casts light on problems and creates conversations. This is an opportunity to get involved with an exciting and fulfilling theatre program that travels to schools, organizations, community centers, and conferences throughout the state, performing on topics that get to the heart of what society is dealing with today: bullying (including cyber-bullying), diversity and inclusion, substance abuse, social anxiety, choosing healthy relationships, and so much more!
Actors need to have flexible schedules and be available for daytime performances (shows are scheduled at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance). All positions are paid!

Interested actors need to prepare a one to two-minute monologue, and are encouraged to schedule an audition time by emailing Sara Riemen at sara@actout.org.
