Auditions for the Garfield Shakespeare Company’s Antony and Cleopatra are coming up!
When: Tuesday, June 6th through Thursday, June 8th, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Tuesday and Wednesday’s auditions will be held outside at the MacAllister Center of Garfield Park. (2432 Conservatory Dr, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203) Thursday’s auditions will be inside at the Garfield Park Arts Center in the Performing Arts Studio.
Antony and Cleopatra will typically rehearse Tuesday – Thursday evening, and Saturday afternoons. Their rehearsal schedules are very flexible.
The following roles are available:
Domitius Enobarus, Antony’s friend and confidante
Eros, soldier and servant to Antony
Dercetas, Antony’s soldier
Scarus, Antony’s soldier
Euphronius, an ambassador from Antony to Caesar
Cleopatra, queen of Egypt
Alexas, Cleopatra’s guard
Charmian, attendant on Cleopatra
Mardian, a eunuch, attendant on Cleopatra
Lamprius, a Soothsayer
Messenger to Cleopatra
Agrippa, Caesar’s friend and confidante
Thidias, soldier and servant to Caesar
Dolabella, Caesar’s soldier
Proculeius, Caesar’s soldier
Octavia, sister to Caesar and wife to Antony
Pompey (Sextus Pompeius), son of Pompey the Great
Menas, pirate in service to Pompey
Messenger to Cleopatra/Scarus
*The roles of Marc Antony, Octavius Caesar, and Lepidus are already cast. The actors who portrayed them in our spring production of Julius Caesar will reprise their roles this summer.

Saturday, August 19th, 2017 – 8:00pm
Friday, August 25th, 2017 – 8:00pm
Saturday, August 26th, 2017 – 8:00pm
Friday, September 1st, 2017 – 8:00pm
Saturday, September 2nd, 2017 – 8:00pm
There is no need to sign up for a slot or prepare a monologue – you will be reading scenes from the script.
