Announcing Auditions for The Rocky Horror Show in Indianapolis

Zach Rosing Productions LLC announces auditions for the return of Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (NUVO’s Best of Indy 2015 #1 pick for Best Locally Produced Play) to the Athenaeum Theatre this October.

They are auditioning the roles of Riff Raff, Eddie/Dr. Scott, plus four male and four female ensemble members. The other lead roles have been precast. You must be 18 or older to audition. We’re looking for strong singer dancers for the ensemble. They are very active in the show and appear on stage for most numbers. All participants will be compensated.

Auditions will take place by appointment May 8th and 9th at the Footlite Musicals Annex, 1835 N. New Jersey Street in Indianapolis at 7pm each night. You may park in Footlite’s lot across the street. At the end of each hour we will have a brief dance audition with the choreographer, then you will be free to leave. Possible callbacks for Riff Raff and Eddie/Dr. Scott will happen Tuesday at the end of auditions.

Schedule an appointment at this link: (they will add additional times as slots fill up.) Please be prompt for your slot. You may fill out your audition paperwork online at this link:

Performance dates are:
Friday October 21st – 8pm Saturday October 22nd – 7:30 & 10:30pm Thursday October 27th – 7:30pm Friday October 28th – 8pm Saturday October 29th – 7:30 & 10:30pm

Rehearsals begin in September. Conflicts are discouraged and will impact casting choices—please include any of them on your audition form.

All actors should be comfortable in skimpy/tight fitting/revealing clothing and undergarments, showing flesh (but no nudity), heterosexual and homosexual situations, walking and dancing in stilettos (except for Eddie/Dr. Scott), and generally being wild and outrageous.
Please prepare a song (no more than two minutes) appropriate for the style of Rocky Horror (but nothing from the show, please), and bring sheet music in the correct key. No a cappella or CD auditions. An accompanist will be provided. Please be prepared to dance.
