FOOTLITE MUSICALS announces open auditions for Singin’ in the Rain, a main stage production for the 2018 -2019 season.
The staff is seeking an ethnically diverse cast of actors. Open auditions for this production are Sunday, December 2nd at 6:00 pm and Monday, December 3rd at 7:00 pm. Callbacks will take place on Saturday, December 8th at 1:00 pm. Please plan to arrive by the audition start time. Auditions will take place at the Hedback Community Theater, home of Footlite Musicals, 1847 North Alabama Street in Indianapolis. Please be sure to bring a list of your conflicts to the audition. If you have a conflict with the audition dates, please contact the producer or director ASAP to arrange an audition.
Come to the audition dressed to impress. Please prepare a verse and a chorus from a Broadway musical other than Singin’ in the Rain. An accompanist will be provided; please bring sheet music in the correct key. Be prepared to read from the script and bring clothes/shoes to dance (including tap shoes if you have them). A free dance audition workshop will be offered Monday, November 26th and Thursday, November 29th from 7:00 to 10:00 pm in the Footlite annex at 1835 North New Jersey Street (across the Footlite parking lot).
Rehearsals will begin in mid-December and will be in the evening during the week, with some rehearsals on Saturdays and Sundays. No rehearsals on Fridays. Production dates are March 1, 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17 of 2019. There is no participation fee to be involved!

Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her.
