Buck Creek Playhouse will hold open auditions for FLY BABIES a drama where history takes off by Rusty Harding on Monday and Tuesday, December 13 and 14, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the playhouse, 11150 Southeastern Avenue.
Director Melissa DeVito is looking for a diverse group of 7 to 10 women and 3 men. All roles are available.

You will read selected scenes from the script.
FLY BABIES is scheduled for six performances for the weekends of April 1, 2022 – April 10, 2022.
Please bring a list of all conflicts from February 1, 2022 through April 10, 2022.
Rehearsals are tentatively set to begin in mid-February 2022.
DOROTHY “DOTTY” MOORE
Younger Dotty. A wide-eyed farm girl. Pilot. Will also double as the granddaughter of Dorothy “Dotty” Lewis.
DOROTHY “DOTTY” LEWIS
Elderly Dotty Moore.
Female, 20s to 30s
Pilot. African-American. Fighting her own war against prejudice. Combined role with Diane Greely.
SARGENT “LOUIE” LEWIS
Pilot. The seasoned barnstormer.
Female, 20s to 30s
Pilot. Asian-American. Has already witnessed the horrors of war.
Pilot. The spoiled heiress.
Female, 30s to 40s
COLONEL THOMAS EVANS
Male, 50s to 60s
CAPTAIN JOHN WHITAKER
Male, 20s to 30s
Mazy’s grand-daughter. Combined role with Mazy.
