CALL TO ARTISTS

Riverfront Interpretive Sculpture Jeffersonville, Indiana

Artists are invited to apply for a commission in Jeffersonville, Indiana to create a permanent,
outdoor sculptural artwork rich with river heritage. The area in which the sculpture will live is within 30
feet of our newly developed Fisherman’s Wharf Marina and the mighty Ohio River. The Jeffersonville
Public Art and Redevelopment Commissions are looking for a piece that celebrates the community’s
long history and connection to the Ohio River and is able to visually assist in telling ‘our story’. It is the
desire that the piece be visually stimulating during daylight hours as well as at night. The commission
desires work that creates a lively and welcoming corridor in an area that serves a diverse, ethnic and
multi-generational community. This opportunity is open to artists from the United States.
