About The Class Learn the dos and don'ts of a great audition both in-person and on video! What do artistic teams look for? How can you stand out among the thousands of submissions? How can you negotiate to get the best deal once you have an offer? Improve your audition and increase your chances of booking the gig! Participants prepare a one-minute monologue or a 32-bar cut of a song to present live or submit a self-tape for critique during the workshop. Work on your material and learn the nuances that put you at the top of the list. View examples of reels, résumés, auditions, and callbacks from actors who regularly book professional work. With a Q&A at the end of the workshop, ask anything you've always wanted to know about auditioning!

As Casting Director at The Phoenix Theatre Company in Phoenix, AZ, Chelsea has seen tens of thousands of auditions from actors across the country and worked with artistic teams like Larry Raben, Peggy Hickey, Jeff Whiting, Daryl Brooks, Christopher Carter, Michael Barnard, Karla Koskinen, and Melissa Rain Anderson. As a director and educator, she has worked with hundreds of actors at all stages of their careers. Register now to boost yours!
