Full Circle Nine Gallery is teaming up with IndyFringe for the 1st Annual IndyFringe Street Chalk Art Festival. It will allow chalk artists to share their skills within our IndyFringe Festival community. FC9 is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for artists and chalk enthusiasts alike.
On August 24th, FC9 and IndyFringe will co-host their 1st annual IndyFringe Street Chalk Art Festival, sponsored by St. Paul’s Faith, Justice & the Arts. This festival will be taking place at the Fringe headquarters on St. Claire street and within the nearby Mass Ave sidewalks. Artists will create pieces that will shock, impress, and inspire festival patrons throughout the day. The competition is not just for adult artists! They’ve created a space for 12 to 17 year-olds to compete and display their talents too.
Date of Festival: Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 9 am – 4 pm. Registration closes at 9:00 a.m.
Check-In/Register: IndyFringe, 719 E St. Clair Street, Indianapolis IN, 46202
Set-up time: As early as 8:00 a.m. All artists must be “show ready” by 8:30 a.m.
Finish Time: Artwork must be completed by 3 pm to be eligible for awards
Weather: The Festival will go on rain or shine. Remember chalk does wash away and all supplies must be water soluble. Only in case of severe weather may the Festival be cancelled. Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued. In case of rain, you are responsible for protecting your art. Plastic drapes, tape, etc. are suggested.
Entry Fee: Children 12 to 17- Free, Adult Artist – $15
Early Registration through August 16, 2019 ($25 after 8/17/19)
