PRICING: $500 – $5,000 per piece

ELIGIBILITY: Visual artists must be over 18, based in Central Indiana (Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, Shelby Counties) and legally able to work in the United States. This opportunity is available to visual artists working in any medium, including painting, ceramics, digital arts, textile and fiber arts, etc.

DEADLINE: Application will close at 4 PM on 3/29/24.

DESCRIPTION OF OPPORTUNITY

Each artist may suggest up to 3 original pieces of art for consideration; please fill out one application for each suggested artwork.

The subject matter should reflect CICF’s mission--to mobilize people, ideas and investments to make this a community where all individuals have equitable opportunity to reach their full potential no matter place, race or identity--and its core values:

  • Anti-Racism | CICF works intentionally against racism and all forms of oppression.
  • Authentic Relationships | CICF builds partnerships with diversity, integrity and truth—honoring one’s lived experiences.
  • Inclusivity | CICF promotes shared power and unheard voices in processes, activities and decision-making.
  • Leadership | CICF influences actions, beliefs, and culture for justice and the common good.
  • Effectiveness & Sustainability | CICF produces results with the organization’s current resources while still considering the future.

The artist’s suggested pricing should include both the purchase price and installation costs (if necessary).

Special consideration will be given to artists who have historically been denied opportunities because of their race, gender, age or other marginalized identities.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Applications will be reviewed throughout April with notifications projected for early May.
  • The internal CICF Art Committee will review artist applications for artwork to be selected by a majority vote, based on selection criteria and specifications.
  • Selected artists will be compensated at their suggested pricing and invited to drop off artwork(s) at the English Foundation building or arrange for pickup.
