Hey dancers! Crossroads is excited to announce their third annual Indy Fringe auditions!
DATE: FEBRUARY 11, 2018
TIME: 3:00-6:00pm
LOCATION: The Village Dance Studio, Whitestown IN
SHOW DATES: INDY FRINGE FESTIVAL AUG 16-26 2018
(Specific dates and times are assigned later by the Festival. It is preferred that you are available for the entire time, however they do occasionally double cast, so let them know right away if there are some dates you cannot attend.)
The audition will include an abbreviated ballet class, followed by modern and jazz movement phrases and improv.
Crossroads is a local Indianapolis dance collective with a focus on community and collaboration. They rehearse primarily on Sundays from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Village Dance Studio in Whitestown. However, as IndyFringe approaches, they often expand their rehearsal schedules to accommodate everyone's needs, so if Sundays aren't the best for you, they encourage you to audition anyway! They have many choreographers and many opportunities! Also, if you're a student and can't rehearse until Summer, no worries! Just let them know on your audition form and they will consider you for the pieces that begin rehearsing in the summer.
If you are cast and choose to participate in this opportunity, they ask that you attend their Sunday technique classes with as much frequency as you can. If you are in school or currently taking technique classes else where, simply let them know and they will make the appropriate exceptions. Rehearsal attendance is required for all pieces in which you are cast. They are accommodating of absences as long as you inform your choreographers well in advance. Some choreographers may also choose to put a cap on allowed absences.
