Hey, Indy dancers! Crossroads is excited to announce auditions for their January 2023 performance at Arts for Lawrence, "The Lives we Lead." The performance will feature original works by CDI and other area dancers focused on aspects of our personal and professional lives.
AUDITION DATE: July 18, 2022
AUDITION TIME: 6:30-8:30 (space opens at 6:00 for warm up; please arrive early to fill out forms and bring your calendars)
AUDITION LOCATION: Turning Pointe Academy of Dance (7114 Lakeview Pkwy W Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46268)
COST: $0/audition (there is a project-based dancer due if chosen to participate)
AGE: 18 and over
EXPERIENCE: Geared towards intermediate/advanced dancers, but all experience levels encouraged to attend!
SHOW DATES: January 27, 28, 29, 2023
The audition will include a guided warm-up and choreographer-led combinations based on ballet, modern, and jazz movement phrases as well as improv.
CDI is a 501c(3) Indianapolis dance collective with a focus on community and collaboration. They rehearse primarily on Mondays from 6-10pm at Turning Pointe Academy of Dance. If Mondays do not work well for you, they have the potential for other rehearsal days/times so they encourage you to audition anyway!
If you are cast and choose to participate in this opportunity, they ask that you attend their Monday technique classes (they will make the appropriate exceptions if needed). Rehearsal attendance is required for all pieces in which you are cast. They will do their best to accommodate absences as they are able, but attendance is a priority.
Note: The show is family-friendly, but audition is for ages 18 and over only. Crossroads Dance Indy does not have a vaccination policy, though we are required to adhere to policies set forth by Arts for Lawrence. CDI will update dancers as policies may change.
