Dancers Studio, Inc Seeks Executive Director

   

Dancers Studio, Inc is seeking to hire a full-time Executive Director. Dancers Studio, Inc (a 501c3, non-profit) is located in Columbus, Indiana, and provides a quality dance education in ballet and modern dance by professionally educated instructors to students of all social and economic backgrounds and/or mental or physical abilities.  They are looking for an Executive Director with a passion for the arts and a desire to lead Dancers Studio, Inc. into the future.  The ideal candidate will bring experience working with non-profit organization budgets, marketing, fundraising, and administration. The Executive Director will require evenings as part of the normal schedule. All inquiries and resumes should be sent to baschwartzkopf@sbcglobal.net before August 15.

 

The Executive Director shall:

  • Oversee all administrative, non-artistic operations, functions, and activities of Dancers Studio on a day-to-day basis, as directed by the
  • Board of Directors, including marketing and public relations, donor and fundraising relations, financial management, and facilities management.
  • Design and implement a Strategic and Development Plan for Dancers Studio.
  • Provide a report on the status and condition of the Corporation each month to the Board of Directors at the monthly meeting.
  • Seek, apply for, and manage local, regional, and national grants available to Dancers Studio.
  • In consultation with the Artistic Director, grant students reduced or no-tuition status for reasons he/she deems appropriate, in keeping with Dancer Studio, Inc.’s mission statement, and as outlined in the corporation’s by-laws.
  • With the Artistic Director, prepare and execute contracts for all artistic personnel, including instructors and guest artists.
  • With the Artistic Director, establish collaborative relationships with local, regional, and national arts organizations.
  • Support the Artistic Director in planning and executing performances, including their acquisition and management of outside facilities, props, backdrops, costumes, volunteers, flyers, programs, etc.
  • Identify and recommend the creation of new, non-artistic staff       positions and the hiring of candidates for these positions to the Board for the Board's approval. These positions shall report directly to the Executive Director.
  • Prepare and execute contracts with all non-artistic personnel and contractors.
  • In all Dancer Studio, Inc. activities, continually implement our mission to provide a quality dance education in ballet and modern dance by professionally educated instructors for students of all social and economic backgrounds and/or mental or physical abilities in the Columbus, Indiana area
