Artist Callout - Optical Illusion Digital Art
2022 Indiana State Fair
This year at the Indiana State Fair, digital art will be printed and installed on the pavement as an art installation. The goal is to enhance the guest experience by providing optical illusion photo ops for fairgoers. State Fair staff will print, install, maintain, and re-print the pavement installations as needed; they are seeking an artist to provide optical illusion digital files ready for printing. The art can be preexisting or original. The artist will maintain the right and copyright to their work, as the State Fair will license it’s usage for printed installation at the 2022 event and for no other purposes, commercial or noncommercial. The artist will be able to sign their work.
Fee: A fee of $1,250 will be provided for artist fees, labor, and delivery of digital files.
Eligibility: This callout is open to all artist over the age of 18 that are US citizens. There is no entry fee or insurance requirement.
Dates:
Artist callout released on April 15, 2022
Artist deadline to apply by June 15, 2022
Artist design approval by July 1, 2022
Artist sends ready-to-print files by July 15, 2022
Installation completed by the State Fair by Opening Weekend, starting on July 29, 2022
Application Instructions: This application process is online only, via an online form. Artists need to fill out the online form at the link below by June 15, 2022. Submissions must be received and time stamped by 5:00pm EST on this day in order to be considered. The online form requires the following information:
