Ethereal
Ethereal is a quality that possesses almost perfect or extremely delicate features that pertain to a spiritual realm rather than of this earth. Artists are invited to submit work that is inspired by or holds this mystical essence.
GALLERY: The IU Kokomo Art Gallery is located on the IU Kokomo campus. The gallery displays artwork by students, faculty, alumni and local, regional and national artists throughout the year. They CANNOT accept payment through CAFÉ. There will be a $25 per artist entry fee that will be invoiced once the entry is received. (This must be paid regardless of acceptance into the exhibit).
ELIGIBILITY: This juried exhibition is open to all artists over the age of 18 who reside in the United States. All work must be original and completed in the last two years. All work must be accurately represented in jpeg images or video files. Work not meeting these criteria will not be exhibited.
PRESENTATION: Professional presentation of each piece is required. Video, 2D and 3D work are all accepted. 2D work must be framed and have a secure way to hang the piece if it requires hanging. For canvases, the sides and all staples must be covered.
ENTRY: All entries must be made through CAFÉ https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=12275. All entries will be chosen from the images and videos submitted on CAFE. Files not to exceed 5MB. For 3D works only, detail images can be emailed to gallery2@iuk.edu, so that they do not use up your maximum media allotment. The gallery reserves the right to reproduce images accepted into the show for promoting and archiving the exhibition. Questions should be directed to gallery2@iuk.edu subject line “Ethereal”.
DELIVERY & PICK-UP: Delivery and pick-up of artwork will be the responsibility of the artist. The artist may choose to either personally drop-off and pick-up the work during gallery hours or ship their work to the gallery. It is the artist’s responsibility to send any shipped artwork in a sturdy, reusable box with a PREPAID return shipping label inside (please no packing peanuts). Any work not picked up 30 days after the end of the show will become the property of the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery.
