Call to Artists

The Arts Council has been approached by an event planner working on a high end and prestigious annual event happening in downtown Indianapolis. The event planners are looking for multiple "happenings" that can occur in in the event space while music, cocktails, networking are all happening simultaneously. These artistic happenings should be a "new, unique, edgy spectacle" that will draw the attention of the audience, but also live comfortably in a high fashion, high tech environment filled with a diverse crowd. The event planners are seeking artists to "perform" at the event on an elevated platform during the cocktail hour events.

Possible fits include:

  • Performance artists
  • Musicians with a visual aspect to their work
  • Experimental theatre groups and/or artists

The event planners do not have specific ideas in mind so they are open to all creative ideas and all artistic disciplines. If you feel your artform is a good fit, please send an e-mail to artistservices@indyarts.org with the following information:

  • Brief explanation of your artform and how it could enliven a high-end cocktail hour event
  • Images of video (link is fine) to previous work/performances
  • Contact information: Name, city of residence, website, e-mail address, phone (open to all Indiana-based artists)
  • Hourly Rate

For questions, e-mail artistservices@indyarts.org and reference "Performance Art Event" in the subject line.
