ExpoDesign is looking to hire sculptors, craftsmen, and fabrication artists on a temporary basis with the potential for permanent, full-time employment. Positions will be filled as needed depending on workload and skill sets.
ExpoDesign works under hard deadlines in a team environment. The ability to manage project timelines and communicate effectively and respectfully with team members is as essential as the quality of your work. All their work is custom and each project presents unique challenges and objectives. Sound problem solving strategies and a solid understanding of a wide range of fabrication materials and techniques are also critical. Projects generally fall somewhere between construction and fine art, so fine artists with construction backgrounds or construction workers with fine art backgrounds usually find themselves at home in our shop. They work in a team environment, so being able to work with others is crucial.
Primary Skill Sets : Subtractive, large scale sculpting; paint and finishing, airbrushing; Woodworking and carpentry; MIG welding
Bonus Skill Sets : Commercial/Residential Construction; Project/Crew Management; Drafting; Graphics Preparation/Installation; Lighting/Audio/Interactive Multimedia; Photoshop/Illustrator
Generally, Full-time (40hrs) from 8am-5pm Monday – Friday. Occasional evening, weekend, and overnight work may be required. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Pay is negotiable based on skill-set and merit. Driver’s License is required. Must be eligible to work in the United States. Paycheck by direct deposit only.
