Shaping The Clothesline / El Tendedero: Indiana: A Feminist Art and Activism Workshop with the artist Mónica Mayer at Newfields.
El Tendedero / The Clothesline artist, Mónica Mayer, will be grateful to have all partners who will be reproducing her clothesline attend this workshop. The workshop will include a presentation about El Tendedero: its history, different versions of the project, the results it has had and the problems it has faced. Attendees will participate in a discussion that will shape the questions that will be included in each clothesline, participate in exercises on how to obtain answers for the clothesline and the different situations that may arise while collecting cards. The workshops are held at Newfields, from 9am – 3pm, on Thursday, October 31 and Friday, November 1. Each day provides the same content, so you can sign up for whichever date works best for you. Newfields will provide coffee and tea in the morning as well as a boxed lunch.
